in which Mel finds just how much she loves writing

Christmas has come and gone, and along with it, winter vacation. { :( }

lately i've been in this perpetual bad mood, so i've spending a lot of time alone in my room, reading and writing. i finished the books that i checked out from the library, so i decided to go through my desk and look through old notebooks.

i found chapters to stories that i've worked on over the past few years; none of them have been completed. (that makes me laugh, because it pretty much defines my writing.) i was really happy to be able to compare those to things that i've written recently and see just how much i've improved.

also, i've been working on a synopsis for one idea that i had while simultaneously (note: thank God for spell check, i had no idea how to spell that word) working on oneshots and short stories.

i'm just going to say that i'm really proud of myself, because lately all i've been writing is FanFiction because it's easy and it's been a while since i've even attempted writing something original fiction-wise. but i've actually been wanting to write original stuff.

it makes me feel creative.

speaking of FanFiction, though, HOHEMGEE JUDGING PERIOD RIGHT NOW. it ends the end of this month. i've been getting reviews from the judges for some of my oneshots that have been nominated for awards and so far they've all been good. maybe i'll win  this time! in any case, wish me luck for the rest of this month, pleaseohplease.
