Lookin For Something?

of shopping. and how it is a DISEASE.

it's true, you know. shopping is a sickness! i hardly ever shopped a year ago and was perfectly fine. but i've found that once you start, you can never stop. or, rather, it is very hard to stop. i think it all started when my dad got a job with Verizon and started working at their store in the Glendale Galleria. having your father work in the mall is very convenient, i have found. i can just catch a ride with him to work, bid him goodbye in the front of his store, and shop in peace.

i've had people ask me if it's boring, shopping all by your lonesome. i love shopping with friends, but i'm actually rather fond of alone time. i think it's peaceful, browsing the racks all by yourself. and then you don't feel pressured to hurry up or anything if your shopping companion finishes before you or whatever.

i've bought so many things just over the past few weeks. sweaters, dresses, books, rings, shirts, shoes, sweatshirts. a lot of things for colder weather, which i don't really need at present. but, hey, let's face it, i don't think i'm growing anymore. all of the sweaters and long-sleeved shirts will still be there in the fall. i also just bought the iPad 2. my parents helped me with some of it for my birthday, but it's still a rather large purchase.

i am diseased with the shopping cancer. I CAN'T STOP.

i'd ask someone to save me, but i kind of like shopping, so...

 i don't need an intervention, i promise.

sorry this is such a short post, but it's all i can come up with at present.

now i'm going to go put away all of the things i bought this afternoon. see you all later!

  1. Hey Melissa, I didn't know you had a blog. Love that you do. Yes, shopping is a disease....but instead of getting ugly spots all over like with the chicken pox, you get cute clothes and fun toys out of it ;)
